No, faccia quello che vuole, eh, ci mancherebbe. Pero' potrebbe godersi i soldi dai. Finche' ci va una campionessa di fioretto, a Ballando, una che avra' guadagnato in carriera quello che la Pennetta prendeva arrivando agli ottavi in uno Slam, lo posso capire. La Pennetta ne ha davvero bisogno? Deve proprio riciclarsi in TV per esistere?

ma quest'anno, due giorni fa, finalmente l'impresa: ha battuto 60 61
tale Rosalyn Small, classe 1993la Small invece era 0-25, quindi deve essere stato un match di altissimo contenuto tecnico
ah, la Falkenberg è stata anche classificata, n.971 del mondo

And then there's Gail Falkenberg, coach of the men's and women's tennis teams at the University of
Central Florida.
Falkenberg began her pro tennis career at 38 and was ranked as high as 300th on the world list.
Today, at 48, she is still ranked No. 911 in the world - making her the world's oldest ranked singles player. Next month, once the UCF season is over, she will be competing again.
''At 38, I was considered crazy,'' Falkenberg said. ''At 48, I'm phenomenal.''
Based on results, she is not bad as a coach either. The Trans America Athletic Conference tournament begins Thursday in Macon, Ga., and the Knights have a shot.
The men (19-4) have ''an excellent chance,'' according to Falkenberg. Powerhouse Florida International is favored, but UCF and Samford are close second choices.
The women (20-4) may be fighting for second because FIU is a clear favorite. Still, it's equally clear that Falkenberg has turned UCF into a steady contender in her fourth season as coach.
''She's very organized,'' said No. 1 men's player Jesper Kjoraas, 23. ''As for competing at her age, well, that's amazing.''
Added women's player Lara Froelich, 20: ''Tennis at UCF has helped me realize life is a series of setting goals and attaining them. Our coach is living proof.''
Falkenberg is not someone who takes no as an answer. In fact, she's not someone who even bothers to ask the question.
''I won't let anyone else set my goals, and I don't try to set goals for the kids,'' she said, tapping her chest to illustrate her next thought. ''Whatever you do, it's got to come from inside if you want to strive for greatness.''
And the striving is the fun for Falkenberg, a slender woman whose appearance is dominated by large glasses and a larger smile.
Falkenberg grew up in Westfield, N.J., and prodded by her mother, earned a scholarship to UCLA. She played four sports there, including basketball.
''I was in awe of John Wooden's coaching skills and used to walk by - or under - (center) Bill Walton going to and from practice,'' Falkenberg said.
She left UCLA in 1970 with a master's degree in motion picture production to launch her 15-year career in the field of informational filmmaking and audio-visual production, winning numerous awards as a movie-maker.
Much of that time was used working at the U.S. Naval Weapons Center at China Lake, Calif. She was there while the Sidewinder missile was being developed. She said it was exciting but cannot add much more than that.
Secret stuff, you know. Classified. Sounds like a pretty good life, right?
''Yes, I liked it,'' she said, ''but the stress kept building and I felt dissatisfied. But what could I do?''
What she did was start playing tennis as a serious hobby for the first time in her life. Then in 1983, she won the USTA National Public Parks Open Singles Championship.

''That was the thunderbolt moment,'' she said. ''I went home, sat down and thought, 'Maybe I can do this.' ''
By 1987, at age 38, she was playing on the Virginia Slims tour. By 1989, she was ranked as high as 300th in the world - and playing all over the world.
Her most memorable match was a loss - to Jennifer Capriati in Orlando in 1989. She went down, but it took 3 1/2 hours to fall, 7-6 and 6-4.
It was never easy, on or off the court.
''I was a minority of one,'' she said. ''More than once I heard an opponent cry, 'I can't believe I'm losing to this old woman!' Most of the other players just saw me as a potential embarrassment.''
She loved it.
One problem.
''I just plain ran out of money.''
Time for a new career teaching tennis.
Falkenberg taught at the prestigious Ventana Tennis Academy in Tucson, Ariz., in 1990 and part of 1991 before applying for and getting her current job at UCF in 1991.
She got a ''bonus,'' too - interim women's basketball coach in 1991 and 1992 before Jerry Richardson was hired. She tried to do her best Wooden imitation, complete with a rolled-up program in her hand.
''Well, it worked for him,'' she said.
And since June 1992, she also has served as head tennis pro in the evenings for the city of Oviedo. ''I have to be on the court at 7:30 every morning,'' she said, ''because that's the only time I get to work on my game.''
Falkenberg stresses that her first and primary role is coaching UCF. She is particularly proud of coaching a successful men's team.
''There are very few women coaching men's teams,'' she said. ''We're reaching heights that most would not expect.''
Some controversy exists over the strong international mix of her teams. Of the 17 current players, 11 are from other countries.
''It's the only way we can compete,'' Falkenberg said. ''All the quality players in the U.S. will choose among the nation's top 10 schools, so we must find additional talent elsewhere.''
Some risk-taking is involved. Jing (''Jacqueline'' in the United States) Chen was a talented player in China that Falkenberg heard about. In order to get her here, Falkenberg had to offer a full grant-in-aid sight unseen and deal with paperwork that took more than a year to complete.
It was a good move. Chen, a freshman, has a 20-2 record as UCF's No. 1 singles player and is 16-3 in doubles.
By her own admission, Falkenberg does not focus on fundamentals. She expects her players to hone their own shot-making skills. She teaches them how to play the game, the tactics, the emotional control.
''I don't care how they hit it,'' she said, ''as long as they get it over the net.''
Said Froelich, who was born in Paris, France: ''She works on how we feel. And we trust her because of her experience. Usually, you retire at 25, so if she can still be competing, she must have secrets we can use.''

Tennis Star Petra Kvitova Badly Injured in Home Invasion
Petra Kvitova, the two-time Wimbledon tennis champion, was attacked by a man with a knife on Tuesday morning in her apartment in Prostejov, Czech Republic.
“In my attempt to defend myself, I was badly injured on my left hand,” Kvitova wrote in a statement posted to her Facebook page hours after the assault. “I am shaken, but fortunate to be alive. The injury is severe and I will need to see specialists, but if you know anything about me, I am strong and I will fight this.”
Karel Tejkal, a spokesman for the Czech Fed Cup team, characterized the incident to the Czech press as “a random criminal act.” Prostejovsky Vecernik, a local newspaper, reported that the unidentified assailant entered Kvitova’s apartment under the guise of reading an electricity meter, and that Kvitova reportedly sustained slashed tendons in her fingers.
Kvitova was transported to a hospital in Brno, the country’s second-largest city, roughly 40 miles away.
Her prognosis for recovery was not known, though the injuries were not considered life-threatening. Any damage to her left hand could impact her play: Kvitova plays left-handed and uses a two-handed backhand. She was scheduled to begin her 2017 season at the Hopman Cup in Perth, Australia, but had pulled out earlier Tuesday with an existing stress fracture in her right foot. The Australian Open begins on Jan. 16.

Petra Kvitova, the two-time Wimbledon tennis champion, was attacked by a man with a knife on Tuesday morning in her apartment in Prostejov, Czech Republic.
“In my attempt to defend myself, I was badly injured on my left hand,” Kvitova wrote in a statement posted to her Facebook page hours after the assault. “I am shaken, but fortunate to be alive. The injury is severe and I will need to see specialists, but if you know anything about me, I am strong and I will fight this.”
Karel Tejkal, a spokesman for the Czech Fed Cup team, characterized the incident to the Czech press as “a random criminal act.” Prostejovsky Vecernik, a local newspaper, reported that the unidentified assailant entered Kvitova’s apartment under the guise of reading an electricity meter, and that Kvitova reportedly sustained slashed tendons in her fingers.
Kvitova was transported to a hospital in Brno, the country’s second-largest city, roughly 40 miles away.
Her prognosis for recovery was not known, though the injuries were not considered life-threatening. Any damage to her left hand could impact her play: Kvitova plays left-handed and uses a two-handed backhand. She was scheduled to begin her 2017 season at the Hopman Cup in Perth, Australia, but had pulled out earlier Tuesday with an existing stress fracture in her right foot. The Australian Open begins on Jan. 16.
